Fast-forward 10 years from now, I’m sitting on the couch writing in my diary
I can hear the sound of the rain whizzing from the sky.
soft music playing makes the atmosphere cozier
the luggage on the floor, still unpacked since we got back from our last trip yesterday
I feel a presence behind me, hugging my back
my lover smells like the ocean’s waves, fresh and soothing
I put away my diary to rest my head on his chest, I feel home
The sun is setting, I light a vanilla candle, the rain is getting heavier
I gently grab his hand and step out on the balcony, life is so good
Laying down with my lover, letting it rain on us, so unbothered of what could happen after
I let out a sigh of relief, life couldn’t be better
all worries, anxiety, uncontrollable thoughts, all the negativity is gone
all that’s left is love and peace
time has taken care of it all, it’s time to be alive and enjoy it
it’s time to be free and leave all hardships behind
it’s time to let happiness rule our world
